Education Sessions for Schools and Community Groups

Visit the Materials Recovery Centre – find out what happens to each waste stream from the Yellow, Green and Red bins.

School and community groups can arrange to visit the Education Centre at the MRF free of charge to learn about what happens to all our waste on the Coffs Coast area. The Education Room has a large viewing window into the MRF where you can watch the waste being unloaded from trucks and sorted into all the components before being baled up for re-processing.

There is also a presentation and short video on the BioMass centre and lots of information on Community Recycling Centres.

Sessions are interactive and tailored to subjects that students might be studying – sustainability, science, eco-tourism, geography etc – or even just learning the differences between the Biomass centre and your school compost and worm farm.
