What happens to my waste?

After we put our bins out for collection, many of us dont give too much more thought to what happens next. These YouTube videos give you a quick look at how your RECYCLING, ORGANICS and  GARBAGE are processed once the collection truck leaves your street.

Education Sessions for School and Business Groups

We have a fully equipped education/function room at the Materials Recovery Facility and can host education sessions for up to 100 people.

Groups are able to visit the education centre to learn more about what happens to our waste, and why we should reduce, re-use and recycle. These informative sessions are conducted by our staff in a relaxed and friendly environment with the help of an education DVD and CCTV footage of the Materials Recovery Facility in full operation.

For business or service groups (Rotary Clubs, Quota, Landcare etc) The Materials Recovery Facility provides an interesting backdrop and can help kickstart your organisations' recycling initiatives.

Kitchen facilities are available for your use and can be accessed by outside caterers. Why not think about holding your next meeting at the education centre and incorporating a waste education presentation?

To enquire about booking an information session please call the hotline on 1800 265 495 or fill out our online booking enquiry form below.
